Wash in the City first opened shop along Pasay Road in 1999 with an initial offering of wash and fold and wash and press services. The business however, rapidly evolved and a full-service laundry shop was launched to include dry cleaning and free pick up and delivery. In addition, a laundry pick-up station was established mid 2001 to cater to the changing needs of its growing customer-base.

Today, Wash in the City puts the principle of sustainable development in the forefront of its operations and leads the industry in the commercial use of 100% biodegradable products to care for the environment.

The name Wash in the City was inspired by the then highly-popular and hip HBO series “Sex in the City”, a show geared towards young urban professionals on the go – the very same market the business hoped to capture.

Keeping in step with the vibrant spirit of its clientele, bright colors were used in place of the usual nondescript white that defined other laundry shops at the time.  Today, the midnight blue and yellow is as signature to the brand as the professional and personalized service it provides.
